Following sell-out success and critical acclaim in 2023, LIVE AT YOURS’ unique classical concerts return this year for a third season at The Great Synagogue in Sydney’s CBD. Performances will embody this season’s theme of Travelling without moving’, journeying audiences across geographical and cultural boundaries to the soundtrack of world-class performances.

The season launch events, held on the 27th and 29th of February, will take audiences from 21st-century Sydney to Vienna’s Golden Age with a stellar line-up of instrumental and choral talent. Sydney Symphony concertmaster Andrew Haveron and pianist Vatche Jambazian will grace audiences with an immersive instrumental performance.

Between the masterworks, audiences will experience the powerful voices of Menachem Feldman, and the St Andrews and Great Synagogue choirs, spotlighting cross-cultural collaborations and showcasing local talents.

The heritage-listed Great Synagogue is an exclusive venue, only open to the general public for LIVE AT YOURS concerts. The site’s byzantine-style architecture, paired with local and international performances, engulfs audiences in an experience far from home.

According to its founder Vladimir Fanshil, the organisation’s priority is hosting concerts at exceptional venues for Australians from all walks of life. Inclusive to connoisseurs, first-timers, and everyone in between, the relaxed and inclusive setting is designed to be accessible to all.

“We are incredibly excited to continue delivering shows for Sydneysiders in one of the most architecturally iconic venues in the city. No matter your views or involvement in classical music — our shows will change your thinking. They’re completely unique, immersive and truly a multi-sensory experience,” says Vladimir Fanshil.

“Our performances are not just about the artists; it’s about the synergy between the music, architecture, and the venue itself,” he said.

The artist-led event organiser experienced its humble beginnings in lounge rooms and backyards during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Following a successful Sydney series in 2023, the organisation remains committed to delivering the finest live music experiences to diverse audiences in 2024. The team promises a star-studded lineup throughout the upcoming seasons in Sydney and Melbourne, showcasing local talents and world-class musicians.
