This was a dark new American drama about an American lawyer who does his business out of his taxi cab. He comes up with a new client who pleads his innocence but is actually as evil and corrupt as hell. It’s very dark with the client playing a very dark,evil character. The ending is grim indeed with the client taking things right to the end with his evil.

This was a fine American drama directed by Brad Furman and written by John Romano from the novel by Michael Connolly. The film starred Matthew McConaughey as the good guy, Ryan Phillips as the evil guy, and Marisa Tomei and Maggie McPherson.

The film editing was sharp and to the point with a lot of quick transitions, and the cinematography with lots of close-ups worked well.
