Little Fockers

Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro in ‘Little Fockers’. Paramount Pictures

This sequel, though not up to the standards of the original 2004 movie ‘Meet The Fockers’, is eminently entertaining though too schmaltzy and eager to please.

The gist of the film remains the frictions that can take place in families and the eccentric characters that are a part of them.
Robert DeNiro remains the heart and hub of the movie as father, more accurately Godfather Jack Byrne, forever trying to control the family, and in particular Greg Focker, played again by Ben Stiller.

In the movie Greg Focker gets into one hell of a tangle with a gorgeous and very sexy pharmaceutical sales assistant by the name of Andy Garcia played by Jessica Alba with Jack Byrne predictably on his tail.

One of the film’s big attractions is the great star power of Dustin Hoffman and Barbara Streisand as the very eccentric Fockers senior.

The sequel is structured around Greg and Pam Focker’s (Teri Polo) preparation of their twin’s birthday party ending with the big ‘little bash’ featuring the whole family in attendance.
