Liverpool Performing Arts Ensemble, have been working hard on putting together a performance of HATING ALISON ASHLEY. It’s been 30 years since Australian playwright Richard Tulloch wrote this absolutely classic school-based play from the book by Robin Klein and to celebrate, LPAE is presenting this great show at Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre between October 24th-27th.

HATING ALISON ASHLEY covers lots of issues relevant to teenage life, including identity, bullying, and jealousy. To which anyone can relate! LPAE has been using adults with the ability to play children in year six. The result is a melodramatic, amusing and highly entertaining adaptation.  The cast is young, enthusiastic, and dynamic, making the play accessible to all.

A lot has happened in thirty years and so a few few small changes have been made to ensure its relevance in 2018. Director Jane Matts says “Whether you’re a school group or an adult, you’ll enjoy our interpretation. Guaranteed!”

HATING ALISON ASHLEY from Liverpool Performing Arts Ensemble [Facebook] has a strictly limited season at Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre from October 24th.

With thanks to Liverpool Performing Arts Ensemble, Sydney Arts Guide has a double pass giveaway to the Opening Night of HATING ALISON ASHLEY on Wednesday 24th October, 2018 at the Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre.
