THE TOYBOX COMING SOON TO THE INDEPENDENT THEATRE

Thoroughbass  presents a fantastic production this September. Following a series of performances at Riverside Theatre, Parramatta (where we had the audience of young children, parents and grandparents riveted to their seats) THE TOYBOX is coming alive again!

They dance, they play. They are naughty and nice. They fight a battle, but still they live happily ever after in the toybox.

The Toybox began as an illustrated story that Claude Debussy then turned into a children’s ballet to the delight of his 8 year old daughter Chou-Chou. In bringing this quaint story to today’s audiences once again, Thoroughbass has re-imagined and re-arranged Debussy’s music with the added charm of early instruments (and the odd pop-whistle!) and some very naughty and noisy toys, narrated by actor Kate Mannix.

Suitable for ages 4 – 8, parents and grandparents.

DATE FOR THE DIARY :
September 21 @ 11am @ the Independent Theatre, North Sydney
