THE ROCKS CURATED WINDOWS STREET ART NOW OPEN

SLOT is an independent window gallery dedicated to bringing art to the street, literally. Located at 23 Nurses Walk, a new piece of art will be installed every month from a handpicked selection of acclaimed local creatives.

The talented selection of artists picked for the exhibit use a variety of mediums, from sculpture and sketch, to mixed media and found items to create a big impact within a small space.

Annelies Jahn and Jane Burton Taylor are the first of many artists to open the window slot with their piece titled Bearing Witness, a homage to Paul Keating’s 1992 ‘Redfern’ speech and the part it played in recognising the damage colonisation did to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
