THE METROPOLITAN ORCHESTRA : SERENADE @ THE INDEPENDENT THEATRE

The Metropolitan Orchestra with Chief Conductor and Artistic Director Sarah-Grace Williams return to the resplendent  Independent Theatre this weekend for a musical evening with a difference.

Sarah-Grace and The Metropolitan Orchestra will start the concert with a performance of Josef Suk’s sublime Serenade for strings. They will then be joined by outstanding Australian tenor Daniel Belle for the second half of this gala concert which will include some of the greatest arias from Opera and Music Theatre.

The Metropolitan Orchestra (TMO) is regarded as one of Australia’s most versatile privately run orchestras delivering consistently vibrant first-class concert experiences.

TMO’s annual season presented in Sydney includes their acclaimed Met Concert Series, Family Cushion Concert Series, outreach concerts for newly arrived refugees and numerous special events.

The orchestra’s sparkling nine year history includes a star-studded array of performances including concerts with Sumi Jo, David Helfgott, John Farnham and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, to name just a few.
