THE METROPOLITAN ORCHESTRA BACK LIVE IN CONCERT

The Metropolitan Orchestra (TMO) is returning to live performance. The TMO  will finish 2020 just as it started, with lots of energy, excitement and plenty of much loved live music including the return of a favourite Australian work.

The concert on December 5th will have limited capacity while also being live streamed.

The performance will open with Beethoven’s arousing and emotional ‘Coriolan Overture’ to reflect the tragedy of 2020 on the arts.

Australian composer Jim Coyle’s ‘Dancing With Billy Bray’ is filled with exuberance and dynamism, reflecting TMO’s optimism for a positive and musical future as we rise from the ashes of 2020.

The evening’s pinnacle comes with Mendelssohn’s emotional and powerful ‘Symphony no 4, Italian’. First performed by The Metropolitan Orchestra in their first ever concert in 2009, it is a fitting work highlighting a wonderful new beginning for the orchestra.

The performance will take place on Saturday 5th December at 7pm at Petersham  Town Hall, 107 Crystal Street, Petersham.

Live access and online tickets are available by visiting www.metorchestra.com.au/were-back-live/ or call (02)8004-3472.
