Trapped in an institution and unable to fly, Peter struggles to distinguish between real and make-believe. How can the children in the orphanage learn to grow-up when Peter wants them to stay young and lost forever?

From the writer of Do Your Parents Know You\’re Straight? comes a dark twist on the story of Peter Pan and the lost boys.  TAKE ME TO NEVERLAND is not a fairy tale.  The production from Bearfoot Theatre  is aimed at more mature audiences. Whilst fun and lighthearted at times and based on the stories of Peter Pan and Wendy, it explores dark themes including intense psychological trauma, and violence.

TAKE ME TO NEVERLAND  is directed Riley McLean and Cassie Hamilton (assistant directed by Genevieve Lawson).

Bearfoot Theatre is a new theatre company in association with Eclectic Productions, and focuses on producing original works. Riley McLean, creator of CONDA nominated original play Do Your Parents Know You’re Straight? presents a new dark twist of the classic tale, featuring Tom Rodgers as Peter and Savannah Geddes as Wendy. Other cast members include Grace Alston, Konstanze Koedam, Taylor Reece, Bonnie McPeak, Harry Lyddiard and Sam Hawkins.

The show will have a short season at Newcastle Civic Playhouse, Hunter Street, Newcastle. January 11 to 13 at 7 pm, January 13 at 2 pm.
