SHAKING HANDS WITH DANGER

Whenever I used to catch up with an old friend, the first thing that he used to say was, ‘so, tell me a story’.

Comedian David Quirk kept his audience well entertained with stories from his life in his solo show SHAKING HANDS WITH DANGER that played for three nights- 10th-13th December- at the intimate Ocean Room at the Bondi Pavilion as part of TRS’s Horse’s Mouth Festival of Autobiographical writing.

The night’s dominant theme was his relationships with women, in particular long time girlfriend, Claire, who still holds a special place for him. We get the whole journey from the time when they first met and sparked, through the good times and the bad times, the break up, up the present day when she is with a new man and carrying their first child.

With his quick wit and reflections, this was a fun, frank and warm night’s entertainment.
