MURDER VILLAGE – AN IMPROVISED WHODUNNIT @ 2022 SYDNEY FRINGE FESTIVAL

[usr 4]

Sydney Premiere Event – A classic murder mystery, including many many red herrings, all very much in the classic style of writer, Agatha Christie, but fully improvised and also very funny. There is a secret ballot before the show starts, the audience fills in an online form, that specifies the need for all of the cast of characters to quickly improvise, exactly who will be (1) the victim, (2) the murderer, and (3) the 1950s weapon used to commit the murder, plus (4) one tell-tale clue that could be the key to the whole case. Fortunately the audience needs only to enjoy all the clever humour, and laugh again and again at the crazy improvised antics. Experience a quite entertaining, and very enjoyable murder.

(1) There will be four suspicious MURDER VILLAGE denizens, and your four British 1950s characters could be –
Lady Agapanthus Grey = haughty tea heiress
Elspeth Tunbridge-Wells = handsome horse enthusiast (think MRS. Windsor)
Filagree Hatchett = officious judge
Lady Ellen Cornwallis = well-endowed aristocrat

(2) There will be four suspicious MURDER VILLAGE denizens, and your four British 1950s characters could be –
Victor Prays = single-minded vicar
Flossie Partridge = clumsy nurse
Thom Tiller = salt-of-the-earth groundskeeper
Sister Bertha Dorothea = unfortunate nun

(3) There will be four suspicious MURDER VILLAGE denizens, and your four British 1950s characters could be –
Gaston De Gruyere = stinking rich cheese mogul
Lady Vera Bathchair = cruel dowager
Zenith Cain = house-proud housekeeper
Jimmy Snuffs = local lamp lighter

MURDER VILLAGE fortunately has two non-suspicious characters – the fully trained, but fully incompetent police detective inspector, who is aided by the one amateur detective sleuth. Which clever detective will correctly solve the crime first OR will the audience beat the two detectives. Each and every show is completely different, you can easily see this show multiple times, because a different fresh new victim/murderer to be explored each time. Highly Recommended.

EXPECT – Staged Violence with some infrequent/low pressure audience interaction, potentially triggering content/themes, Drug References, Alcohol Use, and of course the Murder.
