MOIRA BLUMENTHAL PRODUCTIONS : BRIAN FINE’S ‘BRIDGING THE GAP’

In Brian Fine’s ‘Bridging The Gap’ an older indigenous man strolls along the walking track of The Gap. A younger man sits on the edge, staring out at the ocean, contemplating an impossible dilemma.

As the younger man grapples with his identity –  the very real fear of being rejected by his Rabbi father and potential ostracism by his community – can this gentle elder save him?

A chance meeting, fate, or are there other forces at work? ‘Bridging the Gap’ is a poignant story about identity, friendship and acceptance.

Fine’s play is being put on by Moira Blumenthal Productions, Australia’s premiere Jewish Theatre Company, as part of its ‘Second Stage’ program. The play will receive a professional play reading. The director is Tim McGarry and the play stars Frederick Copperwaite and Doron Chester.

‘Bridging The Gap’ will play the ARA Darling Quarter Theatre, home of the Monkey Baa Theatre Company, on October 14th at 3pm and 7pm. The theatre is located at Terrace 3, 1-25 Harbour Street, Sydney.
