SUBMISSIONS NOW OPEN FOR FESTIVAL FATALE 2018

After a hugely successful and critically acclaimed inaugural festival in 2016, WITS FESTIVAL FATALE returns to the Eternity Playhouse in 2018.  Submissions are now open.

FESTIVAL FATALE is a two-day women’s theatre festival, which aims to produce and create two days of ground-breaking, contemporary and vibrant feminist theatre for audiences in Sydney – Saturday October 27th and Sunday October 28th 2018 – at the Eternity Playhouse, supported by Darlinghurst Theatre Company.

They  bring together a program of incredible theatre – with performances, readings, panel discussions, special introductions and networking opportunities. Most importantly, the content of the Festival will reflect the diversity of women living in Sydney. “We will work tirelessly to bring this project to fruition and provide the Sydney community with access to high quality artistry that will not otherwise be seen in 2018.

This Festival is a Women in Theatre & Screen (WITS) initiative, supported by Darlinghurst Theatre Company, generously donating The Eternity Playhouse as the Festival's principal venue.

WITS is a collective of artists passionate about gender parity on stages and screens.

WITS is a feminist organisation, and believes feminism is at its best when it is collaborative and cooperative. WITS defines feminism as the belief in equality for women. You can see more about WITS at their website or follow on Facebook or Twitter.

Submissions are open now for this year’s FESTIVAL FATALE and will close on June 22nd.   More information about FESTIVAL FATALE, including how to apply, at their website where you can also sign up for their newsletter.
