With the end of the lockdown and our new found freedoms Dymocks is starting its Dymocks Literary lunches again. The first literary lunch is next Friday 29 October, 2021. The lunch will see ABC radio presenter ABC Nightlife’s Phil Clark talk with Thomas Keneally, one of Australia’s finest writers and was the first Australian to win the prestigious Booker Prize for his novel Schindler’s Ark.
He has been observing and writing about Australia and the human condition for well over fifty years Beautifully written and at times slyly funny, A Bloody Good Rant is an invitation to share the deep humanity of a truly great Australian. The book is a collection of personal observations/essays. Topics include the unbounded joy of being a grandparent, his thoughts on mortality, his outrage over the treatment of Indigenous Australians and refugees, and he and he introduces us to some of the people, both great and small, who have dappled his life.
Due to NSW Government restrictions and for the health and safety of all our guests, everyone attending our events will need to be fully vaccinated. You will need to show proof of your vaccination against COVID-19 or your medical exemption on arrival at the venue. We will be following the 4 square metre rule for all our guests. Thank you for your understanding.
