AUSTRALIAN HAYDN ENSEMBLE : C.P.E BACH : UNIVERSE OF HARMONY

Discover rich new musical worlds in this superlunary concert featuring Guest Director and harpsichord soloist Chad Kelly and cello soloist Daniel Yeadon.

A tribute to C.P.E. Bach, one of the most original musical minds of the enlightenment, the program features two standout concertos. Guest Director and formidable UK keyboardist Chad Kelly has worked closely with the likes of Rachel Podger, Trevor Pinnock and John Eliot Gardiner. Now he struts his stuff in the F minor Keyboard Concerto by C.P.E.’s contemporary J.A. Benda, while much-loved cellist Daniel Yeadon performs C.P.E. Bach’s Cello Concerto in A major.

The concert will take place at the City Recital Hall on Sunday 11 December at 5pm (this concert will also be live streamed on the Australian Digital Concert Hall), at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre on 13 December at 7.30pm, and Albert Hall, Yarralumla on Wednesday 14 December at 7pm.

This concert is the Australian Haydn Ensemble’s final concert for 2022, its tenth year as an Ensemble.
