Featuring a  selection of outstanding student artworks developed for the art-making component of the HSC examination in Visual Arts in 2023, ARTEXPRESS  2024 provides insights into students’ creativity and the issues important to them.

The exhibition, in the Art Gallery of New South Wales historic South Building, encompasses a broad range of approaches and expressive forms, including ceramics, collections of works, designed objects, documented forms, drawing, graphic design, painting, photo media, printmaking, sculpture, textiles and fibre, and time based forms.

Since 1989, the Art Gallery has been the principal  venue for ARTEXPRESS, displaying bodies of work by students from across New South Wales.

The exhibition is being presented in partnership with the NSW Department of Education, Arts Unit and the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).

ART EXPRESS 2024 is on display at the South Building, Lower Level 2, Art Gallery Of New South Wales until Sunday 21st April 2024.
