30 YEARS OF FUTURE FASHION EXHIBITION @ POWERHOUSE MUSEUM

After a highly successful season presenting a retrospective of Carla Zampetti’s work, what could be more apposite than highlighting current students work, some of whom may be the next Zampatti.

The show entitled the 30 YEARS OFTHE FUTURE FASHION Exhibition highlights the work of talented students in the field with a show that not only drapes the dresses on models but there are also  videos of the fashions in motion, textile analysis, and in particular an extraordinary display of various lace needlework styles which are displayed in pull-out shelves.

I attended the event with my niece who is studying fashion and found it a great source of inspiration.  She was delighted to see that a friend of hers dress was on display and was fascinated by the lace needlework, stating that she hoped to return to study it in full detail.

This is a show not only for students but also for those interested in the future creativity  in the world of future fashion.

The 30 YEARS OF THE FUTURE FASHION exhibition is on display at the Powerhouse Museum until 31  December 2023.
