Woody Allen’s latest film, his 50th, is  about the important role chance and luck play in our lives.

Fanny (Lou de Laâge) and Jean (Melvil Poupaud) have everything, they are the ideal couple: fulfilled in their professional lives, they live in a magnificent apartment in the high-end districts of Paris and seem to be as in love as the first day they met.

However when Fanny accidentally bumps into Alain (Niels Schneider), a former high school classmate, she’s swept off her feet. They soon see each other again and get closer and closer… You can watch the trailer for the film here.

The film had a very warm reception at the 2023 Venice Film Festival where it received a three minute standing ovation.

The film, starring Lou de Laage and Melvil Poupaud, will release in cinemas on Boxing Day.
