VIVID SYDNEY 2026 22 MAY TO 13 JUNE 2026

VIVID SYDNEY 2026, held from 22 May to 13 June, once again transformed the Harbour City into one of the world’s most spectacular celebrations of creativity, innovation and technology. Over 23 nights, milions of visitors enjoyed a vibrant program built around the festival’s four pillars: Light, Music, Minds and Food.

The festival’s centrepiece was the Vivid Light Walk, a free illuminated trail stretching through Circular Quay, The Rocks, Barangaroo, Darling Harbour and, for the first time, extending as far as Central Station. Sydney’s iconic landmarks—including the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Customs House and the Museum of Contemporary Art—were transformed with dazzling projections, interactive light installations and digital artworks. Highlights included the return of the popular Drone Show and the debut of Laser Lightfall above Darling Harbour

Music remained a major attraction, with performances by leading Australian and international artists across venues throughout the city, while Vivid Minds featured thought-provoking conversations with world-renowned creative figures. The festival also celebrated Sydney’s diverse food culture through special dining experiences, chef collaborations and pop-up events.

More than simply a light festival, VIVID SYDNEY 2026 showcased the city’s artistic talent, cultural diversity and technological innovation, reinforcing its reputation as one of Australia’s premier international cultural events and a major drawcard for visitors from around the world.
