Who doesn’t love an Agatha Christie murder mystery? And who doesn’t love the great Belgium detective?
Well into rehearsals and opening on Friday 21 August, BLACK COFFEE was written as a stage play by the Queen of Crime herself, Agatha Christie
The plot is ingenious, a discovery of poison, an ever-changing coffee cup, a brilliant scientist, and a secret of national importance.
It’s all told with Christie’s voice, those wonderful 1930’s tones, think lawn parties, open French doors, cut grass, and cosy evenings with drawn velvet curtains.
And of course, all the action takes place in the library.
BLACK COFFEE is a thrilling classic whodunit – don’t miss it. Opens Friday 21 August for a four week season (Friday 7.30pm, Saturday and Sunday at 2.00pm). Venue the performance space at Club Ryde.
