This year’s SCULPTURE BY THE SEA exhibition at Bondi, marking its 26th annual event, transformed the iconic coastal walk from Bondi to Tamarama into an expansive outdoor gallery. This year’s exhibition featured over 100 sculptures from international and Australian artists,
Notable pieces include Professor Shen Lieyi’s “Tracing,” which won the prestigious Aqualand Sculpture Award, valued at $100,000. This sculpture, symbolizing resilience, uses an intricate bronze and granite design to reflect the passage of time and life’s challenges.
The exhibition also highlights artists from Japan, India, and Ukraine, enhancing its global presence with unique installations. Attendees are invited to vote for their favorite work in the Allens People’s Choice Award, adding an interactive element to the experience.
This year’s SCULPTURE BY THE SEA exhibition which commenced on the 18th October finished on Monday 4 November 2024.
