It seems to be a comic coincidence that the Film Festival opens on the first State Of Origin Rugby League clash and Vivid. These distraction did not prevent a capacity crowd attending at the Festival’s first night, at its traditional venue, the State Theatre.
The opening night film Is a documentary entitled MIDNIGHT OIL-T]E HARDEST LINE.
It was pleasing to see Peter Garrett and his family but it was disappointing that the rest of the band did not walk the Red Carpet.
