Julie Rapp has been a major figure in Australian Contemporary Art for over forty years. Since the mid 1970s, Rapp has used photography, video performance, video, performance, sculpture and drawing to examine representations of the female body in art and popular culture, often using her own body as the subject.
The exhibition also showcases the artists’ landmark installation DISCLOSURES : A PHOTOGRAPHIC CONSTRUCT (1982) from the MCA collection in dialogue with new and recent works. This exhibition is part of an ongoing program that presents works by living Australian artists, drawing upon significant works in the MCA Collection.
PAST CONTINUOUS : A SOLO EXHIBITION BY ACCLAIMED AUSTRALIAN ARTIST JULIE RRAP is on display at the Museum Of Contemporary Art until the 16th February 2025.
