CALLE MALAGA is a sun-kissed portrait of aging filled with nostalgia, humour, and hope. Legendary actress Carmen Maura (Pedro Almodóvar’s frequent collaborator) stars as María, a spirited 79-year-old Spaniard who has spent her life in Tangier’s Spanish quarter. When her daughter returns to sell the family apartment, María is forced to fight for her home – and unexpectedly rediscovers love and sensuality.
CALLE MALAGA won the Audience Award of the 2025 Venice Film Festival and is Morocco’s official submission for the 2026 Academy Awards – Best International Feature Film.
