Three-time Grammy-nominated blues legend Eric Bibb returns to Australia in April and May 2026 for his most extensive full-band tour to date – bringing his acclaimed new album One Mississippi to stages around the country.
A towering figure in contemporary blues and roots music, Bibb has built a remarkable career spanning more than four decades and over 40 albums. With One Mississippi, he delivers one of his most powerful statements yet – a deeply soulful and socially conscious record that blends blues, folk and gospel in a moving call for peace, justice and unity.
Produced by longtime collaborator Glen Scott (who joins the tour on bass and keys), the album features a stellar international lineup including guitar great Robbie McIntosh (Paul McCartney, John Mayer), with the poignant title track written by legendary songwriter Janis Ian with Fred Koller.
As a live performer, Bibb is in a class of his own – a master storyteller whose warmth, authenticity and quiet charisma create an atmosphere that is both intimate and deeply affecting. Backed by his world-class band, these performances showcase the full, rich arrangements of One Mississippi alongside highlights from across his celebrated catalogue.
Special guest for the Sydney performance is acclaimed Australian artist Karen Lee Andrews. A commanding vocalist, guitarist and songwriter, Andrews has captivated audiences at WOMADelaide, Woodford Folk Festival and Bluesfest, and has toured nationally with Cold Chisel. Her powerful voice and magnetic stage presence make her the perfect opening act for this extraordinary evening.
Don’t miss this rare opportunity to experience one of the world’s most revered blues artists live in full flight – an unforgettable night of music, message and masterful musicianship.
