Lisa Carol (Li) Liu is a Sydney-based painter with a Master’s degree in Oil Painting. Her academic research includes a 30,000-word thesis on the aesthetic language of Zao Wou-Ki, reflecting her long-standing interest in structure, spirit and cross-cultural abstraction.
While painting remains central to her practice, she also writes essays on art, music and performance, grounded in sustained independent study rather than formal journalism training.
She previously served as Chief Representative for Greater China at Air New Zealand Engineering Services. Her background in international management continues to inform her structural thinking and independent perspective.
She is also a WSET-certified wine taster based in Sydney.
