According to the Visual Arts HSC syllabus students were required to keep a visual arts process diary. During the Preliminary and HSC Visual Arts courses. It was expected that there would be some connection between what was in the diary and what was produced as an artwork.
Students could use their diaries to formulate ideas and their intentions for what they could do in art making and the diary was able to possibly indicate a student’s research within the creative process. It could also be used to prompt technical interests and risk-taking, beliefs and interpretations, and allow for reflection, evaluation and assessment.
ARTEXPRESS 2023 was on display at the Art Gallery of NSW from 2 February to 7 May 2023
