A THOUSAND LINES – AUSTRALIAN PREMIÈRE @ THE 2023 GERMAN FILM FESTIVAL

A THOUSAND LINES (Tausend Zeilen) is a very fast paced entertaining story, that is all about the fake news scandal involving multiple news stories. Based upon the 2018 true story, that involved one featured-articles journalist (Claas Relotius) at the German magazine publisher DER SPIEGEL. The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, apparently did not apply to each and every word written by that award winning journalist at DER SPEIGEL.

We follow one investigative journalist at DER SPEIGEL together with his photographer, as they both undertake a fast-paced journey of discovery, tracing the travels of one featured-articles journalist (Claas Relotius) to examine the veracity of each and every already published story as written by that featured-articles journalist.

Staff versus Management. Unfortunately intolerable levels of hardship caused to Staff, with Management PERMANENTLY refusing to believe that their award winning journalist, faked each and every published story. This is not about “balance of probabilities” and “beyond reasonable doubt” the investigative journalist, took every effort to fully document and verify the lies, more lies and additional lies as always written by that one journalist. Contacting each and every person supposedly already interviewed, to discover the journalist never ever interviewed the persons of interest in the published stories. Highly Recommended.

LANGUAGES – German, English AND with English subtitles.

AUSTRALIAN CLASSIFICATION – CTC but probably rated M (Mature Themes).

RUNNING TIME of 93 minutes.
